Turn up and watch these ladies do what they do best in an all girls night with live performance from Shayna King, DJ performances from RDU radio hosts MGKICKS and OLLY, and RDU Decknology 2016 Finalist, TopTap.

Shayna King is a singer-songwriter – though not in the traditional sense. With a voice described as a “stunning mix between soft and powerful”, the Christchurch artist has made a strong name for herself locally. Having performed countless shows around New Zealand over recent years – including support for ‘Nik Kershaw’ (UK), ‘Mark Wilkinson’ (AU) and ‘Fly My Pretties’ (NZ) – King’s recent focus has been on new material, and the past year has seen her locked away in writing-sessions and recording studios, developing her craft.

Kings latest single ‘Calling You’ debuted at #6 on the iTunes chart, spent four weeks in the Top Ten IMNZ Airplay Chart, and featured on Air New Zealand’s domestic and international flights for a number of weeks.

Her debut album ‘The Day Is Young’ was released late 2013 and was nominated for the prestigious 2014 Taite Music Prize, with the title track also selected as a semi-finalist in the International Unsigned Only Songwriting Competition. The album was supported with a national tour for NZ Music Month 2014 and debuted at #6 on the iTunes charts, #14 on the Official New Zealand Album charts and #9 on the IMNZ Independent Album Charts.

King aims to infuse pop, acoustic and RnB elements into her live set, and give a taste of some of her new material set for release in 2017.

OLLY is a DJ/music producer based in Christchurch who has completed her certificate in DJ and Electronic Music Production. From a young age she took interest in playing the piano that is now hugely influential in her production.
Playing various styles of House and Future beats, OLLY started off playing Hip Hop, RnB and Electro House on vinyl. She slowly started to take interest in collecting music from other genres such as Trap and deeper house.
Now having several support gigs under her belt for people such as Milo & Otis, Tantrum Desire, Spenda C, TKAY MAIDZA, TROYBOI and many more, she is inspired and motivated to only build her career and knowledge of the industry. She has drawn influences from the likes of Alison Wonderland, Krewella, What so not, Diplo, Kygo and many more artists. With a remix and 3 originals of her own, OLLY is working towards making her first EP.

With a love of Trap, edm and house music, she will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years. In her short career she has had the chance to support DJs such as LAXX, HANN808 and CONCORD DAWN. “I love to create the set that show my personality. I like to see people laugh or be surprise on what I am doing in my set. I cannot wait to see what 2017 will be.”
