Stranges Lane turns 1!

Can you believe it has Stranges Lane has only been around for one year?! It already feels like a Christchurch institution.

So that means it’s time to celebrate! Lets have a look and see what’s coming up.

In typical Lower 9th style, an epic burger eating contest will be happening at 6pm with an epic prize to match – Free burgers for a year. 5 contestants will compete in a 5 minute rampage of burger eating to crown a winner. Contestants are being chosen on their creative entries on Facebook and Instagram.

Strange & Co is home to a late night party with guest appearances from XOXO, Bobby Lee & Getset. A special cocktail will be running with all proceeds going to the Canterbury Earthquake Children’s Trust.

Orleans is true to its name with live music, liquor and kitchen specials. Music from Seth Hamilton and the Jimmy Rainy Quartet will be matched with Birthday food specials like “Old Bay” Seasoned Blue Swimmer Crab and Dark Chocolate and cherry meringue pie with cherry ice cream.
