“Tired of the usual commercial radio stations? Sick of sycophantic announcers promoting avarice? Annoyed by nasal drawl? Really desire better music and fewer interruptions? Then Radio U on 1422kHz at the University of Canterbury Students’ Association may be for you.”
- The Christchurch Press, July 22, 1982
RDU98.5FM has existed since 1976 because of the dedication and energy of all of our volunteers - in all aspects of the station, but particularly on air. We can provide on-air opportunities and training. We also look for volunteers who are interested in other areas of the station; ad-writing/voicing, production work, promotions, sales and news preparation/reading. All we ask for is enthusiasm, commitment, and an understanding of why we are here. Thanks for showing an interest in working with us!
Fill in the form here and sumbit it straight to the desk of the RDU Programme Director (address here) and we will be in touch.
