I'm going to go out on a limb: This is the best Shapeshifter album. Previous discs demonstrated that the band had got the drum'n'bass bit down, but this has got soul - in bucket loads. It's a brilliant realisation of the direction that the Shapeshifter sound has been taking. The arrangements will floor you in places (Tapestry, When I Return) but you can still go nuts - New Day Come retains the bass waves.
