Hey RDUnited Guys and Girls!

Well it seems Summer’07 may have finally kicked in but lets not talk to much about it in case it gets shy and goes back into hiding. Thankfully we have many many more exciting things to tell you about lined up for February!

Cheap as chips
RDU is proud to bring you the biggest bargain since…last years Cheap as Chips and of course this year’s lineup of legendary NZ bands and DJs is not to be missed! Fat Freddys Drop, Shapeshifter & Kora are supported by locals Chcher’s Departure Lounge, DJ Partido, Messenjah, Urban Notion and Dr.Hitchcock at the Ilam Oval, Kirkwood Ave on Sunday 4 March. Tickets are just $25!!! Available at the UCSA and many many retail outlets throughout the city OR Join RDUnited for 2007 and get your Cheap as Chips tickets for $15 bucks. Sweet! Check www.rdu.org.nz for more info.

ANZ RDUnited card
The b.Net stations have hooked up with ANZ who have pimped out the RDUnited card. Newer, cheaper (and funkier) with all the same benefits. Current RDUnited members can expect their new card in the post. New cards are $20 (special offer for 2007) or $15 for Canterbury University students! Remember that RDU givvies & special offers are exclusive to RDUnited members only. In 2006 this applied to events such as Salmonella Dub, Slinky, Fly My Pretties, Burton Open, Black Seeds, Breakfastaz, Krafty Kuts and Shapeshifter, The Throwing Shapes launch party, Ping Pong country, free beer at the Dux, Ski-days, movie previews as well as discounts at all your favourite stores etc. So it’s well worth joining up! Check www.rdu.org.nz for a complete list of discounters and regular updates.

Orientation & Enrolments
While your enrolling come visit us on Campus at the RDU tent during Orientation week 19 Feb – 2 March and chill out to the RDU DJs.

RDUFO
We still have two more Saturdays down at the Botanical Gardens. If you’re keen on a chilled out afternoon with a picnic and a soccerball then come down to the archery lawn between 1:00 and 4:00pm where the RDU hosts bring you their laid-back sounds outside the RDUfo. - For all the info on the RDUfo site check and keep up-to-date. - These gigs are all weather-dependent. Not looking the best for this Saturday so keep tuned to RDU for updates.

Attention ticket holders for: State of mind / Chris su / Jade & Mc Tiki , July 19th @ Civic
Unfortunately on Saturday night the flight in which all the main acts were on inbound to Christchurch could not land because of fog and eventually Christchurch airport was closed. As many of you may well know we have re-scheduled the event for this coming Thursday night the 24th July @ Civic. The gig will be starting earlier to accommodate for those with work on Friday. So doors will open from 8pm with the main acts starting from 9pm. Unfortunately we are unable to rebook the intended host, MC Tiki as he has another booking on Thursday night in Auckland.  MC Mana will be hosting the evening.

Again we apologize for the inconvenience of the airport closure which has forced the date change.  If you require any more information from us please email  us @  info@wiseguys.co.nz

Thanks Wise.
